Right, starting next week, I will be moving into university accommodation. I will have internet connection, but until I get a chance to test it, I won't know if steam will work yet or what I'm working with

If I can't play TF2 at uni, then unless I find an alternative I may be inactive until Christmas.


I could run it off my 3G card, but the ping would be, high. Again I shall see what I'm working with.

I'm here until next Friday though :D

Who merged it with AFK. It's a bit more than AFK really, since AFK is only temporary. Mine may well be *more* than temporary.

But yeah, proxy, maybe, but to connect I have to use a proxy anyway

Seriously though, you can recreate the topic once you know if you can use steam or not. For now it's just AFK.

Right, not looking hopeful. Unless I can get proxies to work on Steam and TF2, and if I can and if Resnet will let me, it's not looking hopeful. Could be out until Christmas if this is the case, unless 3G is *really* good here.

dude, try to talk to the network admins and contact them with the ports necessary for Steam/HL2 etc., a lot of universities will open them up for you. as long as it's not P2P or something like that, you should be good. good luck. :(

Some of you may have noticed im dead (almost) at the moment.

My laptop almost died and I have been putting effort in elsewhere to ensure I get into University.
Unfortunatly I fixed my laptop so you will still have to suffer with me being about, But I cant say that you will be seeing alot of me for about a month.
Its not the best for me atm but Im sure you will all cope for a month, And if you realy miss me (And my god awefull spelling/grammer) send me an email.
