whats the best thing to do with old ram cards, they are 1 year old,

brand is corsair - value select
Speed is - PC2-5300
Size is - 1GB - 2 cards so a total of 2 gb
Latency is - 5-5-5-15
and the package is - 200pin SODIMM

anyone any tips other than ebay on what to do with them, and if ebay is the only option can someone tech savvy help me with the details, as i don't really know what i'm talking about.

Other than selling them I don't know. And I could help you with the details if you want.

*ahem* I'll start now then. The best thing to do would be to advertise them as "2x1GB Corsair 667Mhz SO-DIMM" for starters. Anything else?

Even more: Is the notch by the pins located in the middle or near the end of the stick?
Middle means that it's DDR and near the edge means DDR2.

If they're a year old, I'd say they are DDR2 sticks.

Selling them is probably the best option. Corsair is a well-known brand, but don't expect to get a lot of money from used RAM sticks.

And never ye to murmur, night or day;
And eek whan I say yea, ye say not nay,
Neyther by word, nor frownyng countenaunce?
Swer this, and here I swer our alliaunce.

There are plenty of things you can do with ram

1: Eat them
2: Put them in the microwave
3: Stick several together and have sword fights
4: melt them
5: Consume melted sticks of ram
6: Trade for pornography
7: bury them
8: build death robots to fight your enemies

See thats plenty

Unfortunately ram is almost worthless second hand as its so cheap new IMO :(

Not worth selling IMO.

You could maybe find someone with a compatible computer that you know and try to sell it to them or give it to them.

I usually just give it away if I can find someone or hold onto it for a few years until I run into it and then realise just how worthless it is a few more years later and get rid of it.
