What unlocks do you use, and what are your opinions on them?

just copy and paste that list, and whether you use them, what your opinion is on them, and how balanced you think they are. Here is my list:

Kritzkrieg: Sometimes. Very useful under certain situations. The crit lightning is a great visual affect as well
Blutsauger: yes. Its obviously an improvement over the original needle gun
Ubersaw: yes. Again, its better than the original. 25% of an uber is a lot. It also looks incredibly badass 

Backburner: Nah. The backburner can be very powerful when ambushing, and looks cool as well, but I could never get rid of my airblast. never
Flare Gun: Sometimes. I have gotten used to using the shogtun, but the flare is very useful, especially against heavies (which can be a problem as pyro)
Axtinguisher: Of course! not only is it the coolest looking weapon in the game, but its fun to use and deals a lot of damage

Natascha: nah. Its just not the same as sasha
Sandvich: also no. Its just to much of a risk and I love ma shotty. But its good for a laugh
KBG: yes, but I never use them. Also, Fists are fun for POW HAHA!

Force-a-Nature: I used to. But slow reload and two bullets in a clip just make it hard to use
Bonk!: no way. I do use the pistol ,and its great. Bonk! just isnt very useful
Sandman: lawl. Of course not.

Ubersaw: Always, who doesn't use it? >.>



Backburner: Nope, never. I like compression blast more

Flare Gun: Prefer shotgun over it. Only use flare gun in arena fights.

Axtinguisher: Always, can't kill a heavy without it :p



Natascha: Only use it when there's lots of scouts running around. I still don't have that achievement

Sandvich: Always when playing alone. If I have a dedicated medic running behind me, I use the shotgun

KBG: Don't even know why, but yeah. I do use them, maybe just for the kicks. And they're huge...



Force-a-Nature: I've started to like FaN nowadays. I actually prefer it over the scattergun... Hit 'n' run tactics are fun and work well with FaN. Load 2 shots in the enemy's back and run awayyyy :p

Bonk!: Only sometimes when the team needs to clear a sentry nest. Haven't used it in ages...

Sandman: Only on defense, to stop ze übers. It's practically useless in solo play now, after the deserved nerf..

Kritzkrieg:   Sometimes on defense and rarely on offense. I use it less than the medigun.

Blutsauger:   It's a clear upgrade, so yeah.

Ubersaw:   The bonesaw doesn't compare to the Ubersaw. Clear choice.


Backburner:   Nevar! I can't give up my airblast. It's much less reliable than the Flamethrower in most situations.

Flare Gun:   I use it and I like it very much, thank you! Flame until they notice you, airblast away and shoot a flare at them. About 150 damage right there. Add 50-60 in afterburn damage and an additional 30 if you hit then twice with the flaregun. Great if the other team have few medics.

Axtinguisher:   So useful... Especially inside. Puff them with a flame, airblast up in the air against a wall and finish them off while they wave their legs in the air, trying to get away. 


Natascha:   50/50 between Natascha and Sasha. On offense, Sasha. On defense, Natascha.

Sandvich:   I prefer the shotgun. I only use it in arena.

KBG:   Yes. But I never use them anyway..


Force-a-Nature:   Nope.. You can dish out a lot of damage much faster with the Scattergun.

Bonk!:   Pistol is more useful all around.

Sandman:   NO WAI! Can't give up ye' olde double jump.

Sandman: I find this useful every once in a while, but I'm not that good with it.

I do use it, though our main medic from GoT doesnt use it all the time. Sometimes the bonesaw saves his ass: Bonesaw strikes almost twice as fast. He might kill the enemy while he can't with the ubersaw. When he can't kill the man, he will probably die, when he can, he might have a chance of survival.

• Backburner:

Only when i can clearly rape the enemy up the ass .

• Flare Gun:

Sometimes in wars, its really difficult for a medic when everyone is on fire. Oh and foozy: Flare gun does only 25 damage on impact. With full afterburn damage (which is about 50) this makes 70 - 80 damage, which isn't much. Full health enemy's can easely pick up a health kit or find a medic. It only comes in handy with snipers. (in pubs that is).

• Axtinguisher:

Ahmmmmmmm.... Hmmmm.... BAM insta-kill .

• Natascha:

Sometimes, but most of the times when your aim is steady (like mine), you really can't use natascha. I played 9v9 Highlander wars as heavy, oh and boy you own the s**t out of the other time as heavy .

Sentry guns, D_H... Sentry guns... Normal über > kritz in offensive, when playing for the team, not with a dedicated friend.

30 damage with flare is not much anyway. And in 1vs1 scattergun vs FAN wins the scattergun. Ofcourse you will do damage, but you will die and he will live.

Not trying to sound like a smart-ass or anything but I suggest you read this and this.

"Valve increased the base damage from 20 to 30."
"Average of Adjusted Fire Dmg (minus "Tap"): 58.7"  Tap being the original puff that ignites them.

I remember reading that in the TF2 blog, too.

So that's 90 damage. I usually flame until they react (doing about 75 dmg.), airblast them away and hit them with the flaregun once, or sometimes twice. Around 100 damage plus 60 in afterburn.
I have to agree that it's not very useful 1 on 1, but it makes up for that by being able to distract other enemies while you focus on one.

And about 30% of my kills are with the flaregun too.
