More (custom) maps

As we all know, NDH has a payload server, which is cool and makes people join the server.

But, always Goldrush and Badwater is boring, so i suggest we get some new maps on the server. Ofc, we could use the other normal maps, but you will loose the fact, NDH's server == payload. You could use custom payload maps, there are tons of them, and some of them are VERY nice!

Another idea is to make Goldrush and Badwater default, and the other maps votable. So you have a few options:

  • Default Goldrush/Badwater, votable custom payload maps
  • Default Goldrush/Badwater, votable official maps
  • Default payload maps including customs (eventually votable normal maps)
  • Default all maps, votable custom maps

Personally, i would go for option 3. There are some very nice custom PL maps out there:

Could be a nice idea, but I wonder how it will affect on the people visiting it. Random people that just want to check the server out don't usually want to load s**t, like me :P

I agree. i am starting to get tired of those. but still i really like the pl gamemode. so normaly pl_goldrush and Badwater then votable custom pl maps ,D

Ahh, i love Badwater and Goldrush, personally. I haven't yet seen one really good custom map, to be honest. I've tried several, but i might go looking again. Theres a no-sniper server out there with a map called pl_orangebox_reloaded or something, that's pretty good with -lots- of players, but only without snipers, i suppose, and the design is shabby.

Well..
with a friend, playing scout.
I didn't participate properly at all, and i wouldn't recommend it at all, really.
But Steel? What were they thinking? :<

I'd like to see some custom maps.

I think I said it in another thread but having one custom map in rotation that changes each month or something and if people really like it make it permanent would be a great idea.

Probably not much fun for an admin though :(
