Far Cry 2: Burn Africa, burn... \,,/

I has new topic-spree. You no take topic-spree.

So yeah, I though of making a generel topic about this awesome game. Share thoughts, tips, ask for advice and other s*** here :p

So, have you played/will you play it? I actually bought the game from a store for 50 euros.

So far I've loved the game. What's better than sneaking into a enemy camp at night with a silenced MP5 and machete? You slash those snipers and guards silently with your machete. Approach the post itself, throw a few molotov coctails at the wooden buildings and let your gun slaughter all those unlucky people. Then, a patrolling jeep charges the camp, and the machinegunner starts shooting at you. Well no problem, just grab your RPG and blow that jeep to pieces! <3  ,D

And damn it's realistic... Day-night cycle is nice, so is the dynamic weather system. And the fact that your guns can and WILL jam and break. Just imagine you rushing a group of enemies in the open and your gun jams... "OH SH..." And if your car breaks down, you don't just abandon it and get a new one like in other games. Noo, you get out of the car and fix the bloody thing  ,D And oh boy, the flames. I just gotta love 'em... The pyromaniac I am  ,D So damn realistic  .D

And the fact that the game is a sandbox game that lets you do everything you want... Don't want to follow the storyline? Well do like I did and start having fun raiding enemy guard posts and camps. Or are you more like Bizzie and love driving in poor roads? Well this is your chance. Take a fast car and start driving those forest roads  .) Make it the game you love to play. This game gives you the chances for that

Multiplayer was a disappointment for me though. Yeah, it's fun to try those tactics from singleplayer there, but the god damn experience system... Oh f**kin' God, not one of those again. Why can't they just bloody give us the guns like in the old times? Nooo, you have to grind 6 months with a s***ty gun to get some decent boomsticks. >_>
But yeah, in overall this is one the best singleplayer FPS' I've played.

Do discuss, I wants opinions and talk and so on...
Do you want to go back, do you want to go back to your past life?
Do you want to go back, do you want back to the sorrowful past?
If you do, I may not be able to handle it, but I'll respect your decision
If you do, my heart will break

FARCRY 2 :D
i love it...

but i know the multiplayer is crap, so i didn't buy the legal version.

why pay for a game when you only play singleplayer which doesn't need a unique cd-key
Ok so a baby seal walks into a club.. get it? oh god i'm a bad person...

Hahahah!

From what I have heard FC2 isn't that good. I was expecting towns and villages with bars, hotels, shops, simply some places to go and get information... crowded with civilians, gangsters, photographers, journalists... every kind of people you'd expect to see in Africa.

I didn't get anything like that. :( Too bad.
I say this, be ye redy with good hert
To al my wil, and that I frely may
As me best pleaseth do you laughe or smert,
And never ye to murmur, night or day;
And eek whan I say yea, ye say not nay,
Neyther by word, nor frownyng countenaunce?
Swer this, and here I swer our alliaunce.

Welcome to the JUNGLE baby! There be no bars, hotels or shops there. Only lions and people who want to kill you!  .D

I tried it, and hated it.
[rant]
It was fun for the first few hours or so, but driving around, doing almost exactly the same missions all the time gets boring quick. The arms dealer asks you to blow up a few trucks driving around in circles. The guard posts at nearly every intersection was annoying as hell! [/rant]

There was some good stuff though. The fire mechanics were fun, and the weapons were great.

Far Cry 2 could have been good, but was poorly executed.

IMO, Far Cry and that series have been too much into graphics and too little into gameplay. They're fun to play but only for a while. ._.
