Trackmania Forever
« on: 16 April 2008, 23:28:36 »
Well guys, after the long wait, it's here. Nadeo proudly presents:

TRACKMANIA FOREVER

Trackmania Forever comes in 2 versions: Trackmania Nations Forever, and Trackmania United Forever. The last one is the one for United owners, and the first is a free to play. Now both Nation and United players can race against each other, in the Stadium map.

There will be plenty of cool things, wich i won't mention here, because i want to play :D .

If you can run Trackmania Nations, you will be able to play Forever!

Anyway, a short article with some information:
Quote
Trackmania United Forever has been released as a patch alongside the completely free Trackmania Nations Forever for the PC. The United patch is also out as an auto-update on Steam.

Trackmania Forever contains no Starforce DRM and removes Starforce from United installations. New to both versions are tons of new maps and map tiles, joystick-friendly shiny menus, a new Nations campaign, improved performance, and improved graphics. Trackmania Nations contains a single game type ("stadium") that can now be played with all United players who are playing Stadium games, whereas before Nations and United players were separated.

For those of you not familiar, Trackmania Nations can be summarized as what you've always dreamed a Hot Wheels video game could be. Pure, distilled arcade racing action that's easy to have fun in and hard to master. It scales down to even the lowest of PC configurations, and now with no Starforce, you have no excuse to miss out on this fantastic game! Also try out some online servers - the user created content is what really makes this game shine.

hmmm the system requirements mean f**k all to me. Offline the game runs in full detail on 1024x768.

As soon as I go online the game lags out with 5fps and readjusts itself puts me on a really low resolution and still lags out :(

Press ''o''. It will hide your opponents, so that your PC don't have to render all the cars ;) .

And never ye to murmur, night or day;
And eek whan I say yea, ye say not nay,

Also, run in it 800x600 window. It's a known fact that running a TM game in a window improves the performance...
