Depends if you are more of a gamer (then of course, the UltraX Flat wont do at all) or use the PC more for study and work, or just internet and smth (then the UltraX Flat would be great, probably).
UltraX Flat is great for gaming imo.

In his opinion "imo".
See by it's name "Flat". Means that for a real gamer, the keys would totally suck. Compare to the G15 gaming keyboard. lol.

Pfft, gaming keyboards are for ladies. Just like men who make up. ;D

Okay, that was supposed to be funny. I'm happy if you laughed. But seriously, Dan must buy a new keyboard, end of the story. Then, just to prevent arguing about my opinion about keyboards: everybody likes a different keyboard, I prefer a white(ish) one with volume control buttons, while some other guy likes a flat piece of wood.
I say this, be ye redy with good hert
To al my wil, and that I frely may
As me best pleaseth do you laughe or smert,
And never ye to murmur, night or day;
And eek whan I say yea, ye say not nay,
Neyther by word, nor frownyng countenaunce?
Swer this, and here I swer our alliaunce.

I have a super mouse/keyboard from "Made In China". Perfect to test your new metal knuckle duster on it.

So I'm guessing you buy a new keyboard every...  2 hours, 3 ?

Nah, it's endurance is high! So far, none of the buttons haven't come off. I sometimes "accidentally" hit it, when I'm angry. :D

They all have certain failure rates.  Never had a problem with a Ms mouse/keyboard before.

I think just bring it back and exchange it as faulty.  These things happen.

Nobody I know had a logitech product fail on the other hand so if you want to just go for that then by all mines go nuts.

I'm using a Razer Lycosa myself. I like the whole rubber feel and the clicky keys; Perfect feedback for when you are typing. The backlighting is nice too, can type in the dark! Though I don't type and watch the keyboard at the same time. Ohwell.

I read some of the Razer Lycosa units were faulty, ranging from separate units here and there to three (I think) entire series. My media touchpad died without use (I stopped using it as soon as next track became wonky and went to hotkeys instead, several months later it had gotten worse, somehow) and sometimes a single key would freeze and stop working, requiring a quick pull out, plug in of the keyboard. I messaged Razer about it and we concluded I indeed had a faulty unit. Got it exchanged and it's been working great ever since. My only concern is the glossy finish on the board itself. It collects fingerprints. Otherwise I'm happy, very easy to clean and maintain and stuff. ^-^

You know what they should invent: Breadcrumb protection.  ;D

Seriously though, I was going to buy the Lycosa and I had it on backorder, but they kept changing the release date all the time, which got me pissed. After a while I just thought, Sod it, next time they change it I'm canceling my order. .. And I did.
Currently very happy with my G15 v2--the one with orange display and narrower design--And I'm glad I bought it instead. I used to be a very strict 'flatbuttoneer' before I tried this, so it's definitely a plus to learn to like 2 kinds of keyboards.

Also, lights! For those dark nights. ^^
