Clan games
« on: 19 January 2008, 20:27:36 »
I've been thinking about this clan and it's games lately.

We got SA-MP and MTA of course. But it's more of an arcade game that you play for 30 minutes and then stop again.

Then we have Trackmania Nations... what is the use of a clan in TM:N? Sure you can race together (who actually does this?), but what's the use of that? You can't work together or something.

So I think we need another game, a tactical game. One that requires teamwork and a strong clan. One that requires planning and tactics. Maybe an FPS game like Rainbow Six, SWAT or America's Army. Or an RTS like Generals or whatever.

Think about it,
Dr. Rengers

List of possible clan games
Rainbow Six
Pros: Tactical gameplay, gentle learning curve
Cons: Heavy system requirements, buggy

SWAT
Pros: Very tactical gameplay
Cons: Slow gameplay in CO-OP (not necessary a con), pretty steep learning curve

America's Army
Pros: Semi tactical gameplay, free
Cons: Sometimes spamming in gameplay (grenades etc.)

Counter Strike
Enemy Territory
Operation Flashpoint
Armed Assault
Call of Duty (4)

Well, Doctor Rengers, I have mentioned a lot of times, that we could expand to FPS and other funner games, but noone agreed with me.

Well, I agree with you, and I think Setä does too. :D
We should compile a list with possible clan games.

I already have some:
Rainbow Six
SWAT
America's Army

Americas Army, or ET or something like that, HL2: DM.

I only usually play what I can get for free. I think I can get Counterstrike: Source from a Mate, Cracked version though, but it still works.
SWilson got a name-change, Bluey I am now.

There is a story behind it, any Aussie should know right away. Has to do with the colour red.

OFP doesn't require a valid serial, so you can just download it install it and play it.

it'd be kind of risky pirating a source game. I'd just avoid it.

Meh, It works fine, Uses some loader and sends a key to the server or something. I think it may actually be a Steam copy.

The thing is with steam, is that u can't get away woth pirating that easy. If your found your banned for life and steam is one of the only ways to get certain games. And only unprotected servers will work.
