« on: 19 May 2007, 23:34:10 »
i know most of you peeps have mods installed, so i want to say:
please be carefull using mods.
i have installed 15 mods. and i would like you all NOT to tune cars (for example in wheels alch angels or Loco Low Co)
today on a server some people have modded several cars, and it crashed you and sometimes is crashes a/the server.

Best Regards, sprunk!

Moved to GTA: San Andreas.

Our Sprunkie is right here: car mods and SA-MP are not good together. Especially if you start to tune cars...

Why? Well, let's imagine a situation like this:
You have just installed a new car into San Andreas. You open the data folder and modify carmods.dat, carcols.dat, handling.cfg and vehicle.ide files. Then you open SA (singleplayer) and the car works well. You can tune it and SA will not crash.

So why in the he*k it won't work in SA-MP?

SA-MP takes car (not only car, many other things too) data from its own samp.saa file (about 3,8 MB), and not from SA files. Therefore tuning parts go into their original positions, and not to positions where they should be in the modded car. Also, you can select parts what you can't even use in that modded car on SP!

And that causes the crash.

Anyway, I don't know can it really crash the server too... Personally I don't think so.
I say this, be ye redy with good hert
To al my wil, and that I frely may
As me best pleaseth do you laughe or smert,
And never ye to murmur, night or day;
And eek whan I say yea, ye say not nay,
Neyther by word, nor frownyng countenaunce?
Swer this, and here I swer our alliaunce.

Depends on the mods you use. I chose mine carefully. It worked well with SA and SAMP. If you are getting your mods from a very crappy place, then basically you are f**ked! Because, some are done to work with SA and SAMP. But others don't. They don't work with how SAMP crew synced the cars.
