I play bass all the time.

I think it depends on how you play and what style of music you like. I like bass driven music (being a bassist this is pretty obvious) and I can sit and play my bass for hours while I get bored of my guitar after a few minutes. Possibly not helped since I know very little guitar stuff and it's not as easy to slap and pop a guitar.

I already can play slap quite well on bass.

Trying to slap a guitar is hard the strings all all too small. After over 10 years of playing bass i feel like a giant when I pick up a guitar.
