SA-MP Public Beta #2 Review
« on: 13 May 2007, 10:14:08 »
San Andreas Multiplayer Development Team arranged a public beta-test on 5th of May. This beta-test was very short, and it was arranged because of new playerlimit testing.

The team wanted to test the new playerlimit (200 players). Only one server was running, and unfortunately it lagged a lot. However, I managed to hop in and check it out. ;)

This beta had some small, but cool updates.
  • Around 170 people were testing last night.
  • 500 vehicles and 4 types!
  • Ped animation. (Did you hate the standard CJ walking/running/sprinting animation? Now every ped has the animations what they have in Singleplayer. Though I hope that running will be faster than it was last night...)
  • Player animations, like rollerblading. (Another cool feature! You can probably even dance in the clubs, maybe drink beer, kiss other players, etc... This is a heaven for roleplayers.)

Right after I took this screenshot my SA-MP crashed :-\ Though, this picture shows a lot.

This beta-test was probably last one before the official SA-MP 0.2 release. Though, who knows, there might be one more... but personally I don't think so. We'll see! 8)

(This post is a copy of my article on another forum. I wanted to offer a chance to see this on brand-new SoH forum as well, so here you go!)
I say this, be ye redy with good hert
To al my wil, and that I frely may
As me best pleaseth do you laughe or smert,
And never ye to murmur, night or day;
And eek whan I say yea, ye say not nay,
Neyther by word, nor frownyng countenaunce?
Swer this, and here I swer our alliaunce.
