Is it just me or are they not even trying to balance the weapons these days.

I mean a sword that restores full health on kill is ridiculous.

It's rather ridiculous in Medieval mode, when the sword's the main weapon you'll have out anyway.  In the normal game, though, you'll be suprised at the number of enemies who can be shot down by your teammates just before you can finish them, depriving you of both your health and your freedom to select a normal weapon again...

I have noticed this as well.
I'm reasonably sure that most weapons go through some kind of playtesting process, so..
Also, that's not the only omfg weapon in medieval mode.
Sharpened Volcano Fragment + Sun on a Stick/Axtinguisher, for example. Instead of getting health back you kill everyone in 1-2 hits, pretty much.

TF2 is still fun with the right people. Tho' I'm playing L4D2 a lot recently. The new Beta map is as fine as finished for me! Maybe a better ending but its fine! Pretty hard too.

So TF2 is now free to play so if you somehow were too cheap to pay 20 quid for it :P, now is your chance.

As much as people whine about F2P players, its fun to kill them... Especially when you're a verstatile class. (Scout & Soldier which I play the most, f.e.)
I have sooo much fun, that means, the state improved greatly with the Uber Update.
