Fast paced can also mean 'Respawn, die'

fast paced, means constat action, not wait, then attack.
A good example would be quake live.

A game with constant action would be pretty damn bad in my opinion. You need pacing to get a game to be exciting, since it's hard to enjoy the action packed times if you don't have any suspense in between.

Fooz: This is an FPS game, not an action-horror :)

Frush: You do go faster as scout, but medics are more useful as they can actually kill things (ie. with their super shotgun and nades)

I never said it was either. The word suspense might come off that way, but it shouldn't be associated with horror games.

Using TF2 for an example, you can see if the enemy has spawned or not. You don't know if they're a spy, if they're flanking you, if they're building an uber, etc. The same goes for FF, of course. The difference lies in that if the game is too fast paced, you don't get time to analyze the situations before they present themselves during the low-times in action. Hence you run towards the objective and face the situations as they appear. The 'run and gun' style might appeal to some, but it doesn't to me.

Fair enough, fooz.
However when you get used to this sort of playstyle, you analyse things much quicker and it feels like you have just as just much time as an FF player as you do as a TF2 player. I see where you are coming from though. ;)
