Out of sheer curiosity, I decided to try the multiplayer first.

It actually works rather well, even if the system for unlocking new weapons, modifications and plasmids can charitably be described as "borrowed" from Modern Warfare - I'm usually not a fan of getting vast amounts more options over more playtime, but I let it slide when the game reminded me this can be explained in context by the entire philosophy Rapture was built on.  The one thing I'd say is that you are a bit too thin on the ground for equipment at level 1 - a pistol and shotgun for your weapons, and a choice of two out of three of fire, lightning and ice for your plasmids - but it soon becomes more varied.

I suspect matches may be locally hosted, but the game's optimised for small skirmishes, so I really haven't had much of a problem with lag so far (L4D2 tends to be far more painful in that respect).  I've tried Civil War (read Team Deathmatch) and Turf War (read Domination from the original UT) so far, and it plays well.  I particularly like the idea of the research, where stopping for a time over a body to take a picture (leaving you vulnerable) will allow you to get a damage bonus when facing a particular foe later on.  The Big Daddy suits that appear occasionally have suitable advantages and disadvantages - vast armour and good weaponry countered by losing research bonuses, no healing and no hacking.

I do admit that going through 3 different systems, 2 of which needed the CD-key the third provided was troublesome, but as it doesn't seem to affect the gameplay, I'll let it slide.

I shall carry on playing and return further opinions as I continue.

Single Player: From what I have played, very good, just like bioshock.
Multi Player: From what I have played, not very playable. Quite a few players tend to lag, and bounce around. Finding a game takes way to long. Games are pretty short.

Spoiler alert

Right just finished it, I saved a few little sisters, but i got bored so harvested them to speed things up, i saved the npc's besides the guy in the fishtank, then chose for me to die rather than to be saved.

But yes, i got bored about halfway through, so wanted to speed it up, But what an awesome game, and i did love the ending.

Anyone else feel bad after harvisting a little sister?

I didn't really like the first one so didn't get this one.  It was boring and the whole moral choice thing is stupid.

Realistically if they want me to care about the character on screen, it should kill a little girl in real life for each little sister I kill in the game.  Then I'll think twice about it :P

Even better make it something everyone likes like a puppy and not a little annoying kid :D
