A second go at the second team

OK, at the moment a team is being jumbled together, mostly from new applicants to the clan. We will play a pcw together see how things go and work from there onwards.

It's very helpful that all the resources are already there so there is no reason at all for us to not to do this apart from our own flaws. There were many flaws in the initial attempt at a second team, the main one I believe was that there was no real leader, I will attempt to fulfill that role.

I will post when we have a definite team. For now if you want to be in the team please post and tell us when you can play and your classes. I'm pretty sure we are only looking for a demo and maybe a scout but I cant say for sure.

Any support from the first team will be greatly appreciated whether it be a few pointers or subbing.

I don't think I'll have time to run a server though TBH.  I had my server to play around with and I never did much with it :-/ and now I don't have the time.  I'm just a programmer, being an admin isn't in my blood

I can play solider or scout for the second team if you guys want. I've got some experience of playing matches, but i've not played in quite a while now! I'm avaliable pretty much everynight, so long as I get a lil bit of warning.

Okay. I don't quite remember everything, but I'll point out as many flaws as I want.
Please do not take these to heart if I criticize you, because this is meant to be constructive.

First off, our medic, Frix, wasn't very vocal. The first 2-3 rounds we had noone calling the shots, and Frix never really said anything if he was being flanked so he ended up dying too much. I also feel we could have protected him a little bit better.

Either the medic or the soldiers had a nasty habit of running away from eachother- I told the Soldiers not to, then they blamed the medic, but the medic is the one who controls the pacing, most often, so it's the soldiers' job to know where the medic's at and not to leave him vulnerable.

The soldier who wasn't KOS also felt too reckless, trying to do things that only ended up getting them killed. Dunno if this is just bad luck or inability to judge their own skill, however.

The demoman was decent, but a little slow to the middle point at the start of the match, but otherwise he did relatively good. Good job.

Squirrel also did a good job. The other scout we had, Mrty or something (Think he was an outsider sub), was something of a coward, tbh. I specced him most of the time I was dead and often he was doing strange things, ranging from running from mid to the little spawn room with the resupply cabinet near the spire because he lost around 20 health to, when faced with a threat, he normally started retreating right away and ended up letting the other classes flank us. He was also not very good at being vocal, which is somewhat important for a scout- We're supposed to cover the flanks when we're not attacking, and not letting the team know where and who's flanking is when you're doing it wrong.

He also changed classes without telling anyone, first to sniper and then to pyro. I died several times, thinking I had a scout to support me until I checked the scoreboard and saw he had gone sniper without saying anything or asking if he could.

There's lots of other little things, but I can't remember everything right now.

Ye first of all. Yes my comms. were rly low on that match wich I dont usually do that. Second I had no protection at all! I was alone quite a few times and noone was ther for me:(. Otherwise yes mrty did not listen at all he just changed to sniper without anyone knowing. He did some Headshots sometimes medic but not so usefull when your facing face to face with solly,demo and specially scout! But ye we can do another try! Im in for another scrim.

First of all, the 2nd team will need a leader. Take a look at the first team, which is managed by Foozy. The leader's got to have time and interest to manage the team, otherwise it will collapse. At the moment it looks like either KingOfSquirrels or Tom_Armitage is going to take control of the 2nd team. Decide on that (or share responsibilities if you get along well).

Second of all, I'd recommend not to use non-NDH subs or people that are on trial time. You can take a look at newer members when/if they have passed their trial period. However, this should be decided by the leader of the 2nd team.

Just my thoughts; I've never played competitively in Team Fortress 2, but I've got knowledge when it comes to management.

After a quick "conference" we've decided KingOfSquirrels will be in charge of the 2nd team. One issue has been cleared now.
