NDH's Third Anniversary

It's been another fantastic year and we're not down for counting yet. Welcome to the annual Hero Bulletin special, once again covering another birthday.

The anniversary gaming night

It is time for another gaming night, a very special one we might add. We've planned an evening full with events that'll keep you on your toes.

The gaming night will be hosted at:

The 15th of May, 19.00 BST (GMT+1) at the Popular Maps server ( 217.18.71.36.27015 )

Activities will include:

Medieval theme done right on cp_redfort_b3.
Demoknights and huntsman snipers. Piss in jars (they totally had those) and big shiny swords.

Trying out Tom's map.
The (not so) fabled cp_runner is seeing some playtime. Tom's looking to improve his mapping and decided invading the gaming night would be the best choice for getting feedback. Please post any ideas you have in this thread.

Late night karaoke (with hide and seek?).
Perhaps you've been to the carnival and seen a dancing bear, perhaps it is all in our heads. Now imagine hearing a singing bear while you are hiding from a bunch of ravaging lunatics. It's like the carnival all over again!

Today, tomorrow and the future

Instead of going over what we have done in this year's article, we will be going over what we will do.

Our goals are:

To become a small sized social clan with around 50 active members.

We believe a smaller group of members fits better for a clan like us. Most people know each other and as size grows, so does the chances of finding someone with similar interests or hobbies as you. 50 members is also a good number for votes. One odd vote doesn't mess up the whole thing, but you still make a difference in the end. If we reach this, expect us to run more polls and give the members more choice!
Though, recruiting is a must. Invite your friends to the server, some of them might be interested in the clan.

To provide a haven in Team Fortress 2 where you can relax and chat while you play.

You know it. Witty banter, familiar faces & mind-blowing action. Whereas a few servers lack administration, ours have it! We sing more or less familiar songs, we discuss everything between cars and gaming rumours and eat sandviches. We plan to keep our servers vanilla in order to offer a game almost everyone can enjoy, from new to experienced.

To encourage interaction between members outside of the game on a more personal level.

Now, we don't need threads about individual members' favourite colours, but if something is stressing you out or want to find out if other clan members have similar hobbies to you outside of gaming, we would like to encourage members of the clan to post a thread about it. Maybe you are into cars or fishing, or even getting fired out of cannons. Who knows!

The award ceremony

It's the time! Unleash the power of our yearly clan awards!

This year's awards were designed by Foozy.

	It's not easy being the new guy, we've all gone through it. The New Member of the Year is awarded to someone who has joined recently and yet is well liked and welcome among his fellow clan members. Congratulations, HMMurdock_00!
	The zany, the whacky, the odd and the funny. There's always that special someone that entertains (and sometimes scares) members at the cost of appearing to be a complete lunatic. This is The Craziest Member of the Year. Frush, congratulations, you're a complete lunatic!
	The Gamer of the Year doesn't necessarily play much, but he plays many games. For once, quantity is better than quality, if you're aiming for this award. There was only a true competitor this time around. With his 105 games and distributed playtime among them, Dicey is the winner of The Gamer of the Year. Congratulations!
	He will gladly switch classes if needed, he will take a rocket for his medic and he will dive head first on the cart if it means progress for his team. He truly puts the Team in Team Fortress 2. Awarded for his incredible unselfishness; QuadrAlien, you're the Team Player of the Year!
	The Helper of the Year award goes to the person who has devoted much of his time to assist us. From making site graphics to organizing clan events and everything in between. This award goes to Foozy. Without him, we would be lost. Congratulations!
	The Mastermind of the Year is awarded to a man with a plan. Always coming up with crazy ideas and schemes to keep everything running smoothly, although some of them just make us laugh. Tom_Armitage, we never thought we would say this, but you are the Mastermind of the Year!
	Somewhere in the deepest part of the sub-internet lives a member so quiet we have feared he is entirely without an internet connection. In a shell he lies dormant. Waiting, watching... You know who you are, Onlayx, and you have won the Quietest Member of NDH award!
	The Best Quote award is given to those who have managed to, by simply typing a few words, entertain people for months or even years to come. We had a hard time deciding what quote to use, so we used all three! The winners are Tom_Armitage, mark p and Foozy, in order. Tom, after permabanning himself on the server while investigating the various features of the admin menu: Tom_Armitage \| NDH: Bugger Foozy \| NDH: sigh. Foozy \| NDH: I'll unban you...
